Join the Vashon Food Bank and help ensure our community has reliable access to nutritious food in a welcoming, dignified, and inclusive environment. This hands-on role supports our grocery programs by coordinating food pickups, managing warehouse operations, maintaining facilities, and working alongside volunteers and staff to keep programs running smoothly.
Position Details
● Part-time: 20–25 hours/week
● Pay: $23–$25/hour DOE
● Location: Vashon Food Bank, 17928 Vashon Hwy SW
● Benefits: 11 paid holidays, accrued sick and vacation leave, optional retirement plan, and cell phone reimbursement
Key Responsibilities
● Pick up donated and purchased food using company vehicles
● Organize inventory and maintain warehouse operations
● Support and supervise volunteers
● Help maintain facilities, vehicles, and equipment
● Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment
● Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient food distribution and program operations
Qualifications
● Strong communication and customer service skills
● Experience working with diverse communities; nonprofit experience preferred
● Valid Washington State driver’s license and clean driving record
● Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
● English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus
