Our Programs and Services

grocery shopping

The Food Bank offers weekly in-person shopping times on-site at Sunrise Ridge, behind the Sea Mar Community Health Clinic. Customers choose from an array of items including fresh fruits and vegetables; protein sources such as chicken, fish, tofu and dairy; cereals/grains, canned goods, coffee/tea, fresh bread and pastries.  We also offer personal hygiene supplies, diapers and more. This service is offered two times on Wednesdays, 10am - 2pm and 4pm - 7pm.

grocery pick-up

We have a weekly shopping list request model for customers to pick-up groceries or they can shop in-person. Fresh groceries for pick-up are packed by a team of trained and efficient volunteers, then delivered out the door to shoppers waiting in their vehicles. Both the pick-up service and in-person shopping is offered two times on Wednesdays, 10am - 2pm and 4pm - 7pm. More Info

HOME delivery

For some, getting to the Food Bank is a challenge, so each Thursday and Friday are our Home Delivery Days. Teams of volunteers - packers and drivers - pack nutritious groceries and deliver to all parts of Vashon Island. More Info

Emergency FOOD

We have bags of Emergency Food (all non-perishable, shelf stable) on site and supply bags to local social service organizations for distribution at times, outside of food bank program hours, when a person needs food immediately. More Info

PICNICS in the parks

Our very popular free summer picnics program went to Ober Park and BARC in 2023, celebrating our tenth year! Plus, we’re extended our time at Ober Park. Come back soon to find out more information about 2024! More Info

Child Hunger Initiative

The Food Bank helps reduce child hunger on Vashon through weekly snack deliveries to Chautauqua Elementary School, McMurray Middle School, Vashon High School and StudentLink and FamilyLink programs.
