Volunteering Opportunities

"Volunteering is an act of heroism on a grand scale. And it matters profoundly. It does more than help people beat the odds; it changes the odds." -Bill Clinton

Volunteering is a hands on way to support community and community well-being. You get to help make a lot of good happen, while meeting people and often learning a few things along the way.

We rely heavily on our community of volunteers to keep Vashon fed. We utilize nearly 200 volunteers over the year in all kinds of ways, on the front lines in distribution and home delivery to behind the scenes with food pick ups, sorting, recycling, to sourcing more food and funds through food drives, and helping us provide even more fresh produce by tending our Food Bank Farm or Garden.
